Subject: WinTrumpet and Novell problem
I'm using wintrumpet 1.0b and am having problems with its interaction with
our novell network. At our site, most users login to the net as 'guest'
because they don't need file space, just print server access. We've
discovered that using '-disable_NW' on the command line discourages wintrump
from trying to use the NetWare mail directory of the guest account for its
news.* files, and that works great. The problem we're having now is trying
to convince wintrump that it should use the name we supply in the setup
screen for the e-mail "from" line instead of the novell login name of guest.
Changing it in setup doesn't work; it stubbornly resets it to guest when I
close the window. Changing it in news.prm doesn't work; it replaces my name
with guest again. I don't remember this being a problem in 1.0a. Is there
a "-really_disable_NW_completely_no_kidding" command line switch that might
do the trick?
